Acuity Scheduling

Welcome to the SD scheduling software we use. With your new user privileges, you now have access to a few new abilities:

  • You can now create your own classes.

  • The ability to add/remove someone from a class.

  • Easier access to attendee information and emails.

  • Link the acuity calendar with your own.

Acuity Scheduling does have its own comprehensive documentation so if you’re having difficulties with something and the solution isn’t listed here, it may be worth heading over to their site.

First things first…

  1. You’re going to need to change the default password you were given. You can do this by heading to “My Account” from the sidebar/menu.

  2. Link to your own personal email and update where you receive notifications. In the sidebar/menu again, go to “Availability” and click on your calendar settings. More than one email/phone number may be added to the notifications list.

  3. You can Download the Acuity Scheduling app on to your phone for extra convenience.

Add a class

This will be a tutorial on how to add a standard class (2 weeks, 4 weeks, or 8 weeks). Once created, it will auto-add to the ESF website. If you need to make a non-standard class, such as a seminar or special event, contact Miyo or Austin.

  1. Open the Calendar view in Acuity Scheduling (Main landing page).

  2. Click the “ADD NEW ▾” button in the top right corner and select “Class” from the list of options.

  3. Open the class Select Box (it should default to “Class Placeholder”) and select the new class to create.

    • The class names will go as follows: class typeclass locationmonth

    • ex: “4 week course: Salt Lake City | June

  4. Choose the date of the first class by clicking on the box under “offered at” and either typing in the date or selecting it from the pop-up calendar. Then add the start time to the next box.

  5. After the first class’s time and date have been entered, select “Recurring”.

  6. Update the repetition and the number of sessions. If you are sticking with a standard weekly course, you will only have to change the number of sessions.

  7. Select “Add Times”.

  8. Confirm the date and times for your classes. If a session falls onto a different schedule on one of the days (an hour early, a day later, etc.), here is where you can update it.

  9. Select “Save Class”.

  10. Once completed, you should see a confirmation at the top of the page with the class details in a green box.
